Meet the Team

Dustin Bilyk
Founder/ Lead Editor

Dustin is a short story author and a novelist, as well as the Lead Editor and Founder of Worldstone Publishing. When he's not perfecting the works of others, he's writing Grimdark Epic Fantasy, and has been doing so since he first read the works of Joe Abercrombie and GRR Martin.

His first published novel was with a small press in 2014, and since then, he has funded and runs Worldstone Publishing. On June 1st, 2022, he edited and then released Summer of Sci-fi & Fantasy: Volume One - a collection of 23 stories from 23 very different authors. The following year, Volume Two hit the shelves, and due to the success of the first two books, he is now dedicated to putting out short story anthologies until at least 2030.

You can find his story “The Calamity of Opid” in Volume One, and “The Watcher” in Volume Two.

Dustin has a demanding Frenchie-Pug named Bilbo (SEE: below), and they both live an enthusiastically full and wonderful life in the Canadian North. He welcomes you to visit him, but demands daily rations of coffee and pastries if you wish to sleep on his couch.

Nick Clements
Associate Editor

Bilbo
"The Final Say”

Born in May of 2020, Bilbo has grown to become an oft-sleeping, lazy, but increasingly valuable member of the Worldstone team. No story passes to publication without his observant approval, though… he has been rumored to take bribes from hopeful authors (treats/ear scratches). If anyone reading this gets wind of any foul play, please let us know and he’ll be kenneled indefinitely.

In his day to day, Bilbo can be seen out in the wild, peeing on fire hydrants and scowling at passing strangers on walks. If you happen upon him, be sure to talk in a stupidly high voice that he mentally links with treats and walks (blame Dustin), and he’ll officially fall in love with you. Otherwise, prepare to be possibly marked with his mythic superpower: neon yellow bladder blast.
